Every bar is made start to finish in our own integrated mill, from scrap melting to the quenched, tagged bar, so the quality is in our hands at every step.

Manufacturing
Melted, cast and rolled under one roof
Because we make our own billets, every WIN bar traces back to a known heat with known chemistry.

Melt
Steel is melted in a 12 MT induction furnace and its chemistry is checked on a Bruker Q4 POLO spectrometer.

Cast
Approved heats are cast into billets in-house and sent hot to the rolling mill.

Roll & quench
Billets are rolled to size, then pass through a German Thermex quenching system that forms a hard rim around a ductile core.

Test & tag
Lots are tested against IS 1786, then bundled and tagged with size and grade before dispatch.

What Fe 550 guarantees
The minimum values IS 1786:2008 sets for grade Fe 550. Every WIN lot is made and tested to meet them.
